A Visit with Oma

We headed to the Upper Peninsula to visit my family for Easter.  We left at 5:30 am and both kids didn't fall asleep until 15 minutes before we arrived in Escanaba (and after they had been in the car for almost 6 hours).  The kids passed the time by watching a movie, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and playing with grandma.

When we arrived at Oma's we went right in to say hi. She was in the dining room waiting for lunch. She was so excited to have us there and ALL of the residents (and staff) were full of smiles as they were entertained by Will and Erin.  The kids had fun running around and exploring everything.  Will LOVED playing with the front doors in the
lobby.  He quickly figured out how to open the door and would laugh so hard at his ability to escape.  After lunch, we went to Oma's room for a short visit before heading to Uncle Ray's house for a nap. After the nap, we went back to Oma's for a visit. It was nice to see my grandma and to watch her enjoy the kids. It made the 6 hour car ride worth it.
