Basically uneventful. Quite and stable for the kids. Cousin Kari stopped by and said "Hi" to the kids as she drove through. I had work as usual.
Saturday~
I went off to test drive a new car (which was very elegant, but got stuck on our street in two inches of snow). Julie's mom came over and got her hair cut, then went to visit the kids. Again a quite time for the kids. The Dr.'s actually upped Erin's feedings from 1.5ml to 3ml every three hours, and Will started feeding for the first time since his surgery. Melanie left as Marc Hobart showed up from his Sport Radio debut in Ludington! This is where the weekend got fun and interesting! The nurse asked us to help for care time and obviously we said yes, the nurse then lifted the roof off the isolette to make it easier, that's when I got to kiss Erin for the first time! Shortly after that Julie got to kiss Erin for the first time also! Thanks to Marc Hobart we got some great pictures!
But wait Saturday gets better!!! Shortly after that the nurse asked if Julie wanted to do skin to skin time with Will. Of course the answer to that was YES!!! Marc decided to not stay for that first!
Skin to Skin is where Will or Erin is stable enough to be removed from their isolette and lay on your bare chest for at least an hour! It was amazing to see! As Julie said "it was perfect".
Sunday~
Erin's food was upped to 6ml and she was also started on caffeine! The caffeine is to help apnea. It sounds like they are getting ready to switch her vent! Hurray for Erin!
Will had another great night and day so it was my turn for skin to skin!
