Will and Erin LOVE to ski with us!! They have graduated from Totem Park (the bunny hills with a magic carpet to ride on to the top of the hill) to riding the chair lifts with us! We have leashes that attach to their harness and we can control the kids. Will is a very serious skier. He is quiet and focuses on what he's doing. He does get distracted, like today when he started looking at the chair lift above us and then fell flat on his face. Erin is a chatterbox and talks the whole way down the hill. Today she was saying, "Grandma/grandpa/daddy look at me, I'm skiing!" "Weeeeee this is fun!" "Look at that (fill in the blank what 'that' may be)."
Mark asked Will if he wanted to go down Giggles or Hoot Owl (two green/easiest hills) at Crystal. And Will said he wanted to go down "Buck!" (black diamond/most challenging hill). Of course, daddy obliged and he took Will down Buck. No need to worry, Mark held Will tightly and put him between his legs. Will skied a black diamond at 2 years old!!! Unfortunately, we didn't bring our phones or cameras so we don't have any photo proof of Will's run. Maybe he'll want to do it again tomorrow. While Will was skiing Buck, Erin said she didn't want to ski Buck because she wanted to make a snowman. So Grandma Pam, Erin and I made a snowball snowman at the bottom of the hill while daddy, Will and Grandpa Bill skied Buck.
Mark took a run down Buck by himself and when he got to the end Will and Erin were clapping for him and saying "yeah daddy!" Erin said, 'That was awesome!'
When the kids need a break from skiing we head inside for a cookie, Rice Krispie Treat, water and/or hot chocolate. Today Will ate the whole cookie by himself and Erin ate half of her Rice Krispie Treat by herself. They were hungry from all of the skiing and chair lift riding.
