May has been a crazy month for us! We sold our house on April 19 and had 30 days to be out. This meant that we were on the hunt for a new place to live. Mark and I had spent hours searching the Internet and we had gone to a few Open Houses. On Saturday morning, we went into two houses and decided to put an offer in on one of them. They accepted our offer and within a week of selling our house we had bought another one. The only problem was that we had about 10 days of being homeless. Thankfully, my mom has a big house (and three stall garage to hold all of our stuff) so we spent the next few weeks moving our life into her garage, house and basement. Everything fit (minus our bikes which are at a our favorite neighbor's house- it's a good excuse to go back and visit them) and we closed on our house May 18 and gave possession at that time. We will close on our house on Wednesday and can take possession 5 days later. This puts us in our new house on Memorial Day. Like I said, May has been a crazy month, but we are so lucky to have my mom here and our friends and family helping us out with everything! ![]() |

| Erin loved her avocodo dinner! |
Now back to Will and Erin's update. As you can tell from these pictures, it's becoming more and more challenging to get the kids to sit still. They are always on the go and rarely sit still. They both continue to be happy babies. Erin is really started to walk a lot. She will just let go and walk across the room or to one of us. We have started bolus feeding her. This means that we aren't using the pump to give her the Pedilite over 30 minutes. Instead, we use a tube and a 2 oz syringe to feed her the 6 oz plus 1 oz water in about 10 minutes. It's much more convenient and quicker. However, there are some feedings that Erin will gag and cough because the Pedilite is going in to quickly. We have to find a balance between not feeding her too quickly or too slowly. She still gets fed 4 times a day. Tonight at dinner she ate pears, potato chips, some noodles and potatoes. We always offer her food, but she eats what she wants and it's on her terms. We'll start feeding therapy again on June 11.
| She LOVES our phones! This was the only way I could get her to sit still. Erin weighs 19 lbs. |
Erin is starting to imitate us. She will wave 'bye-bye', stick her tongue out like us, hug and sometimes kiss the baby and she will 'relax' which is putting her hands behind her head (she and Grandpa Bill were doing this on Mother's Day weekend.
He would put his hands behind his head and she would imitate him.). Sometimes when we are laughing she will laugh too. She has the sweetest little laugh. I love the sound of it! When Erin does something that we are going to say 'no-no' to she has started to move her mouth (but not make any sounds) like a doll. It seems like she is mocking us. We have a hard time not laughing at her because she is so stinking cute!
Will has become a great eater. We offer him bites from our meals. He will eat chunks of avocado, pasta, spaghetti sauce, potatoes- baked and scalloped, potato chips, oatmeal, crackers, Stage 3 chunky baby foods and he is drinking from a sippy cup! He has gotten to be such a big boy. We are finishing up the cans of formula we have and then Will is going to switch to whole milk. | He flipped up her so quickly. Will weighs at 21 lbs. |
| Yes, he really is this happy all of the time! |
Both babies are still great sleepers. They sleep from 8:30pm-7:30 am (or in Will's case 10:00 am today!) They take at least a two hour nap each day too.
We continue to be blessed by the good fortune in our life. We have family and friends who loves and supports us. We are moving into a new home and able to create a better life for our children. Our kids continue to grow and thrive. They have brought so much joy to our lives and the lives of so many!
